Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Coby D. Savoy, 36, last known to possibly be residing in the 1000 Block of St. Rita Hwy., St. Martinville or in the 4000 block of Catahoula Hwy., St. Martinville.
He is wanted for failure to appear for possession of oxycodone.

Broussard, Brandi, 32, New Iberia; failure to appear, warrant (SMSO).
Journet, Scotty, 40, 1100 block of Orphe Guidry Rd., Arnaudville; failure to appear, warrant (SMSO).

A 17-year-old Breaux Bridge High School student was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of terrorizing after investigators linked her to a social media post warning that a shooting would occur at the school that morning.

Because of the forecast of rain on Saturday, Oct. 31, Halloween, all sanctioned Trick or Treat activities in St. Martin Parish have been moved to Friday, Oct. 30, 6-8 p.m.
This includes all municipalities as well as the unincorporated areas of the parish.

Official enrollment figures for St. Martin Parish public schools submitted earlier this month to the state Department of Education for Minimum Foundation Formula (MFP) purposes show a slight increase over October 2014.
Comparative figures rose from 8,472 last year to 8,483 this October, an increase of 11 students.
