Student busted over threat on Snapchat
A 17-year-old Breaux Bridge High School student was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of terrorizing after investigators linked her to a social media post warning that a shooting would occur at the school that morning.
At approximately 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 27, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office was notified that a threat made by an unidentified person was circulating on the social media website “Snapchat.” Screen-shots of the post were being shared on different social media websites.
Following an investigation, deputies concluded that Jada Perron, 17, a student at Breaux Bridge High School, had posted the comments.
She was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center.
