Breaux Bridge couple jailed on drug charges

Following a tip, narcotics agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant Wednesday morning, Nov. 4, in the 1700 block of Grande Anse Hwy. in Breaux Bridge.
The agents seized illegal drugs including methamphetamine, along with materials used to package and distribute them.
Brandon Scrantz, 33, of Breaux Bridge, was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on suspicion of one count of possession with the intent to distribute a Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine), two counts of possession of Schedule IV CDS, illegal carrying of weapons, transactions involving proceeds from drug offenses, and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Jodi Lasseigne, 22, of Breaux Bridge, was jailed on possession of Schedule II controlled dangerous substance (methamphetamine), and possession of drug paraphernalia.
