Calais boosts ’Dogs past Tigers

Cecilia ended a four-year drought last Friday by posting a 31-14 victory over parish rival Breaux Bridge in a key District 5-4A battle.
The Bulldogs’ last victory over the Tigers had occurred back in 2010 but Cecilia scored early and never trailed in rolling to its eight victory of the season and staying unbeaten in league play.

SM gets sloppy 23-6 win over Abbeville

It was a win, but it wasn’t very pretty as the St. Martinville Tigers notched a 23-6 victory over Abbeville in District 5-4A action here last Thursday.

Bossier delivers in BB’s 27-10 win over Westgate

Sophomore running back Logan Bossier rushed for 130 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries to help boost Breaux Bridge to a 27-10 homecoming victory over Westgate last Friday.
On the defensive side, senior Izrael Ledet intercepted two Westgate passes, and returned a punt for a touchdown.

Bulldogs blast past New Iberia

Cecilia used its high powered offense complimented by an opportunistic defense to power its way to a surprisingly easy 44-12 win over the New Iberia Yellow Jackets of District 5-5A last week.
