Breaux Bridge is on the road again this week, heading to Crowley to face Class 2A powerhouse Notre Dame while Cecilia and St. Martinville both play at home.
The Bulldogs host Northside with hopes of bouncing back from their loss to Comeaux while The ’Ville will see if it can maintain momentum against a tough Assumption team.

Spartans blast past Bulldogs

The Comeaux Spartans used a fumble recovery, two passes and a run to strike for four second quarter touchdowns on their way to a 46-20 victory over Cecilia in last week’s season opening football game.

It didn’t take St. Martinville very long to take control of their opening game against Jeanerette last Friday. Coach Vincent Derouen’s team struck for four first quarter touchdowns on its way to an easy 40-8 victory over an undermanned band of visiting Tigers.
