Investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office recovered a horse trailer in Arnaudville that was reported stolen out of St. Landry Parish on Dec. 2. The trailer was suspected to have been taken by the driver of a 95 GMC Truck that was blue or green in color.
Former City Councilman Ricky Calais pulled off a narrow victory in Saturday's runoff against Parish Council member Jill Hebert.
Calais had 1493 votes, 51 percent, to Hebert's 1,423 , 49 percent.
Turnout was 55.7 percent.
A Lafayette juvenile, male, 16, was arrested this afternoon following an investigation into a drive-by shooting that occurred in August in the Arnaudville area of St. Martin Parish. He was booked into the St. Martin Parish Correctional Center on the following charges:
