The Parks Village Council has given Mayor Kevin Kately approval to spend $700,000 for the long-awaited purchase of an existing building for a new city hall.
With the recent acquisition by Camping World of major retail outfitter Gander Mountain, a planned RV retail and service center north of I-10 in Breaux Bridge will grow from 35,000 to 60,000 square feet.

A new feature is being considered for installation at Magnolia Park.
The “skatepark” would be located in the open area between the community center and walking track. A second feature of the installation would occupy a portion of the south end of the park pavilion.
