The victim of an accidental shooting that occurred last Saturday in the 5300 block of Bridge St. Hwy/LA 347 in the Promiseland neighborhood of Parks, passed away early Monday.
The St. Martin Sheriff’s Office is reporting that a negligent injury charge against Ryan Jeffery, 17, of Parks, has been upgraded to negligent homicide.

Home Bancorp Inc., the holding company of the 109-year-old Home Bank, and St. Martin Bancshares Inc., the holding company of the 83-year-old St. Martin Bank & Trust Co., jointly announced last week the signing of a definitive agreement under which Home Bancorp will acquire St. Martin Bancshares (SMB).
