On Monday, Jan. 11, at 6 p.m., officials from St. Martin Parish Government and the parish Office Of Homeland Security and Emergency Preparedness will host a public meeting in the gym at the Stephensville Elementary School, 3243 Hwy 70., to discuss the potential flood event.
Due to the possibility of flooding in some areas of St. Martin Parish, sandbagging operations will begin on Saturday, January 9, 2016, at the following locations:
Stephensville-The Park
3257 Hwy. 70 at the Park
Tuesday, Jan. 5
Ardoin, Dylan, 21, 100 block of Cypress Garden, St. Martinville; manufacture, distribution, possession with intent to distribute Schedule II narcotics, improper display of temporary license plate, driving on right side of road, possession of drug paraphernalia (SMPD).
Due to the possibility of flooding in some areas of St. Martin Parish, residents are being asked to secure any hazardous materials they may have in their yards. This includes but is not limited to: gas cans, gas storage tanks, paint cans, insecticides, propane canisters, tanks, etc.
