Residents Who May Be Affected By Possible Flooding Urged To Secure Hazardous Materials

Due to the possibility of flooding in some areas of St. Martin Parish, residents are being asked to secure any hazardous materials they may have in their yards. This includes but is not limited to: gas cans, gas storage tanks, paint cans, insecticides, propane canisters, tanks, etc.
In addition, please secure any other outside items in your yard such as lawn chairs, patio furniture, swings, children's toys, barbecue pits, etc.
Those living in the flood prone areas who want to remove items from their residences are being encouraged to do so within the next couple of days and not wait until the flooding is imminent.
