Law and order took center stage at the City Council meeting here Monday, Aug. 11.
Shortly before 6:00 p.m. Saturday, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a 911 call regarding a possible drowning at the Catahoula Boat Landing. Upon deputies arrival, they were informed that Marques K. Bogan, 21, New Iberia was swimming with friends and failed to surface.

Remains found near Henderson on July 4 are from an adult male and female and probably came from disturbed graves, according to the St. Martin Sheriff's Office.
There was no information provided that linked the remains to any current missing persons in St. Martin Parish, SMSO reported.
