Tom Zaunbrecher, president of the Breaux Bridge Area Chamber of Commerce, announced on Sept. 9 the selection of a new executive director.
Michelle LeBlanc (née Mouisset), is a Breaux Bridge native and former development director at St. Bernard Catholic School.

The three candidates for mayor will make their cases to the public at a forum in City Hall here Thursday, Sept. 18, starting at 6 p.m.
The candidates are former City Councilman Ricky J. Calais, Parish Councilwoman Jill Hebert, and businessman George J. Williams.

The St. Martin Parish school district budget approved last week by the school board projects salary supplement payments of $3,200 for professional employees and $2,630 for paraprofessionals during the 2014-15 fiscal year.
