Reese Guidry, 8-year-old daughter of Clint and Christy Stoltzm of St. Martinville, works to restore the faded sign urging support of U.S. troops that has stood for years in a lot at the corner of Bridge and Pinaud Street.

Results of the Spring 2015 ACT administered to all Louisiana high school juniors were released last week by the state Department of Education and St. Martin Parish students recorded strong improvement.

Overall new construction activity slowed just a bit across St. Martin Parish during the months of May and June according to building permits issued by both parish and municipal governments.
