According to Maj. Ginny Higgins with the St. Martin Sheriff's Office3, one of the victims, Leola Blanchard, 62, made a 911 call at 7:55 p.m. Tuesday telling the operator a disturbance was in progress at her home on La Rue Angelle, just south of Breaux Bridge.
St. Martin Deputies responded to a domestic disturbance call on La Rue Angelle, just south of the Breaux Bridge city limits, shortly before 8 o'clock Tuesday evening. Upon their arrival, they discovered that three individuals had suffered fatal gunshot wounds.
