On Saturday October 26th, 2013, from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its seventh opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.
On October 15, 2013, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office received a call from Lafayette General Hospital Personnel concerning a female who was severely beaten in the Parish of St. Martin. The victim received great bodily injury and her condition was listed as critical.
On September 20, 2013 at approximately 9:30 a.m., a residence off of Sawmill Hwy., near the Lafayette/St. Martin Parish line, was broken into and numerous items were taken.
Following up on a story reported on Tuesday, October 15, the Breaux Bridge Police Department reported that the third vehicle, stolen from Courtesy Dodge, was located in the woods off of Wild Cherry Lane in Breaux Bridge later in the afternoon of the 15th.
