When the railroad crossed the south Louisiana prairies in 1880, land that was once thought of only as grazing land for wild cattle became accessible to farmers from the Midwest who saw in our benign climate and fertile soil a land of milk and honey.
Of all the amazing attributes of God the most endearing is His willingness to commune with us. God has chosen to make Himself known to His children. He speaks to us and allows us to address Him. Made possible by a matchless introduction through the blood of His Son, we can now have peace facing God:

Ever been invited on a free vacation to the Ozarks in Arkansas? Didn’t turn it down! Black Pot Bean Festival was happening in Mountain View, small town “way up in them there hills.” I’d never heard of it till some of the Monday night bluegrassers invited me along. Promised much fun. They go there every year.

Eulogy for Eula Mae Courville Champagne (June 9, 1936 – Sept. 13, 2015): It’s said life is not about the number of breaths you take, but of the moments that take your breath away. On this day, I am proud to say that my grandmother, Eula Champagne, had both in her 79 years of life.
It has been soggy, damp, gloomy and downright wet over here lately. The sun shone briefly the other day and it was heavenly, but didn’t last long.
