As we continue: Jesus’ Sermon on the Mount (see Matthew 5-7) clearly reveals the essential elements for personal revival. If you will live in light of these truths, you can experience daily, continuous revival. To fail to heed Christ’s words will lead to fruitlessness and despair.
I don’t know if the phrase “feast or famine” applies to weather, but from a drought we have now progressed to rain almost every day. It hasn’t moderated the temperature very much but I don’t find this summer as terribly hot as others. However, my families in California and Michigan are suffering mightily in mid-90-degree weather.
In days past, people in south Louisiana dreaded August not only for its heat, but also because this was a month when fearsome yellow fever epidemics began to spread across the countryside
Things are pretty quiet over here lately. With crawfishing over, the truck and boat trailer traffic on Hwy. 997 is slight. Hardly any FAS tanker trucks passing, which is a real blessing. At the Belle River landing, the biggest activity seems to be sport fishing. No crabs around here. Some frogs.
