The following arrests and/or citations were reported in St. Martin Parish from Monday, Sept. 26 through Sun-day, Oct. 2.
Breaux Bridge – Sue Cormier, assistant director of nursing at St. Agnes Healthcare and Rehab, was recognized for special achievement during a Dementia Workshop, according to an article in The Leader, a Louisiana Newsletter for Assisted Living Facilities and Long Term Care Nursing Homes.
Breaux Bridge – The U.S. Small Business Administration will open a disaster loan outreach center on Thursday, Sept. 22, at the St. Martin Council on Aging, 391 Cannery Road, to assist Louisiana flood survivors. The center will be open 8 a.m. - 5 p.m., Monday through Friday, until further notice.
St. Martinville – A special meeting was held on Sept. 6 to discuss the worsening problems caused by poor drainage planning.
