The City of St. Martinville was red-flagged by the Office of the Louisiana Legislative Auditor for “inadequate controls over Utility Fund collections” after an employee “misappropriated” about $1,200 from the fund during the fiscal year that ended June 30, 2014.

Parish Council meetings will go on the road starting in February to “take parish government to the people.”

A plaque with the words “In God We Trust” will be placed on the wall of the council chambers at City Hall in a public ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
