'In God We Trust' to hang in City Hall

A plaque with the words “In God We Trust” will be placed on the wall of the council chambers at City Hall in a public ceremony on Thursday, Jan. 22, at 6:30 p.m.
District 1 representative and Mayor Pro-tem Mike Fuselier has spearheaded the effort to have the plaque installed there, as well as in other area town council chambers and school board meeting rooms. A resolution to allow the installation of the plaque passed a city council vote unanimously on Dec. 15.
The St. Martin Parish council recently voted, also unanimously, to have a similar plaque or banner hung in the Parish Annex Building’s Carroll J. Fuselier meeting room as well.
The public is invited to attend the ceremony on Jan. 22 at City Hall.
