I noticed at the Belle River landing that someone had posted signs on the pavilion posts saying Do NOT CLEAN FISH UNDER THE PAVILION so I assume that has been an issue.
In the April 15, 1880, edition of the Louisiana Sugar Bowl newspaper, an unidentified writer describes a trip to “the Attakapas country, ‘The Paradise of Louisiana,’ as it is deservedly styled,” which apparently was taken some years before, when travel was pretty precarious.
The staff of St. Martinville Rehab and Nursing Center celebrate Breast Cancer Month with a “Think Pink Day.”
Staff members paid a fee to wear pink shirts to work and donated the money to the activity fund to honor residents and their families touched by breast cancer.

There are many reasons why we shouldn’t let weeds grow in our landscapes. Weeds – particularly in flowerbeds, shrub plantings and ground covers – cause landscapes to look unattractive and neglected. Even if the lawn is nicely mowed and edged and everything else looks neat, weedy beds ruin the appearance of the landscape.
