A corrections officer for the St. Martin Sheriff’s Office finds himself in jail, accused of smuggling marijuana into the cells.
An investigation into the presence of contraband inside the parish jail resulted in the arrest of Marshall Babineaux Jr., 22, of Breaux Bridge on Tuesday, June 3.

This includes the danger areas in the Stephensville and Belle River areas of Lower St. Martin Parish until further notice.
