St. Martin Parish - Interstate 10 - lane closures

Beginning Monday, Oct. 26, until Thursday, Dec. 3, Interstate10 will have full and intermittent single lane closures between Henderson and Ramah to allow crews to perform inspections on the Atchafalaya Basin Bridge.
The proposed inspection schedule is as follows:
Monday, Oct. 26 – Thursday, Oct. 29, 7 a.m.-noon, eastbound

In addition to the highly publicized gubnatorial and other races, most principal parish officials are up for reelection this Saturday.
St. Martin Sheriff Ronny Theriot, vying for his fourth term, faces opposition from three challengers, Corey Broussard, Albert “Buz” LeBlanc and Brian P. Theriot.

TWO BATON ROUGE MEN ARRESTED FOR SIMPLE BURGLARY AND HIT AND RUN

Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Friday evening received a 911 call in reference to a male subject that was reported to have fallen through a roof at the Exxon Station in the 2900 block of Grand Point Hwy in Breaux Bridge. Minutes later, a second 911 call came in reporting a hit and run at the same location.
