Trick or Treat in St. Martin is on Halloween, Saturday, Oct. 31

Official Trick or Treat in St. Martin Parish will be 6-8 p.m. on Saturday, Oct. 31 – Halloween night.
The sole exception is in the Breaux Bridge subdivision of Bear Creek, north of Interstate 10. Because of ongoing construction of water lines, a situation that could prove dangerous for small ghosts and goblins, the residents of this neighborhood have decided not to have Trick or Treat this year. There will be signs and barricades at the entrance to this community of 76 households.
Last year, official Trick or Treat was held on Oct. 30, a Thursday, to avoid conflict with Friday night football traffic.
That was an experiment officials say is unlikely to be repeated.
