Help fight lupus with gumbo!

Mawsie’s Gumbo Cook-off will be held in Parc des Ponts as a benefit for The Lupus Foundation of America Saturday, Nov. 21, 8 a.m.-3:30 p.m.
The event is inspired by the lupus-related death of Mary Lynn “Mawsie” Thibodeaux, a beloved community activist, in October.
The entry fee is $50. Winners will be awarded at the event.

St. Martin Sheriff's Office needs your help

Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office are asking for the public’s assistance in locating Coby D. Savoy, 36, last known to possibly be residing in the 1000 Block of St. Rita Hwy., St. Martinville or in the 4000 block of Catahoula Hwy., St. Martinville.
He is wanted for failure to appear for possession of oxycodone.
