Sophie T. Guidry

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Friday, November 3, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Sophie T. Guidry, 94, who passed away on Sunday, October 29, 2017, at Bethany MHS Health Care Center.
The family requests that visiting hours be observed from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7 a.m. until 9:45 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Cecilia.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Thursday.
Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Sophie was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She is survived by her children, Jacqueline T. Dauphine and husband Donald, Jennifer Louise Guidry Thomas and husband Paul, and Robert Keith Guidry and wife Tina; her son-in-law, Hansel Huval Jr.; 12 grandchildren, Phyllis, Shane, Nikey, Millie, Terry, Hannah, Emily, Olivia, Sophie, Sidney, Chris and Daniel; and 14 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Sidney Guidry; her parents, William and Louise Hebert Thomassee; a daughter, Elizabeth Ann Guidry Huval; her brothers, Willie, Henry and Frank Thomassee; and her sisters, Loula Bijeaux, Cecilia Devillier and Lillian Hebert, and an infant sister.
Pallbearers will be Chris Guidry, Daniel Guidry, Hansel Huval Jr., Paul Thomas, Harvey Thomassee and Shane Dauphine.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia (337-332-2111) is in charge of arrangements.
