Roxane Borel Guidry

Breaux Bridge – A Funeral Service was held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Roxane Borel Guidry, 54, who passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Monday and continued on Tuesday at 7 a.m. until 1 p.m.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Monday.
Deacon Butch Hebert officiated at the Funeral Service. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Roxane enjoyed doing crafts and carpentry, cooking, baking, playing cards, fishing, visiting, dancing, going to the casino, and was known to many as the life of the party. There was nothing she could not do because she was referred to as a “jack-of-all-trades.” Her children and grandchildren were her world and gave her reason to live and build a playground for her babies to play. She will be remembered for her kindness, smile, compassion, and the love that she gave to everyone and in everything she did in life.
She is survived by her loving husband of 18 years, Glenn D. Guidry; sons, Derek Boudreaux and Dorsy Boudreaux and wife Karley, all of Breaux Bridge; step son, Damien Guidry and spouse Darlene of Breaux Bridge; step daughter, Kristie Hayes and spouse Wiley of St. Martinville; grandchildren, Kamryn Boudreaux and Kohyn Boudreaux; sisters, Ella Mae Borel Vincent and husband Russell of Parks, Barbara Borel Cade of St. Martinville, Anna Faye Borel Tauzin and husband Javis of Broussard, Inez Borel Berthelot and husband Vernon of Cypress Island, and Claudette Borel Case and husband Mark of Parks; brothers, Paul Borel of Cypress Island and companion Denise D. Thibodeaux, Terry Borel and wife Mona of Parks, Glenn Borel of Parks and Mitchell Borel of Parks; and her sister-in-law, Paula Borel of Cypress Island.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Evrard and Eunice Douet Borel; a son, Raven Boudreaux; sister, Amelie Green; and her brothers, twins Ernest and Kernest Borel, and Steven Borel.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
