Elaine enjoyed watching T.V., especially The Young and the Restless, Dancing with the Stars, and old western movies. She was known to many as being the life of the party and would never hesitate to express her thoughts to anyone. She loved riding around in her van and visiting with family and friends. Elaine was a true inspiration to many as she was a 25-year breast cancer survivor. As one of her favorite performers, Elvis, would sing, “I Did It My Way,” so did Elaine.
She is survived by her loving husband of 44 years, Phillip Mark Lasseigne; her daughters, Marcy Lasseigne and companion Shannon Choplin of Breaux Bridge, and Megan Tardiff and husband Josh of Breaux Bridge; and her dear friend who was like a sister to her, Dolores Hebert.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Dalton and Fabiola Guidry Huval.
Pallbearers were Shannon Choplin, Josh Tardiff, Preston LeBlanc, Russell Huval, Leonard Devillier and Ricky LeBlanc.
Honorary pallbearers werbe Rees LeBlanc, Ron LeBlanc, Roger Guidry, Harry Guidry, Tom Guidry, Terry Huval, Tony Huval, Tony Lasseigne, Ernest, Roland Guidry, and Kade, Trey and Chance Fontenot.
Elaine’s family would like to extend their sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Panelli, the staff of The Carpenter House - St. Joseph Hospice and the oncology department at Burdin-Riehl Care Center, for the attention and wonderful care given to Elaine during her time of need.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
