John C. Savoy

Breaux Bridge - Funeral services will be held at 2 pm on Thursday, February 27, 2014, at Pellerin Funeral Home Chapel in Breaux Bridge, for John C. Savoy, 75, who passed away on Monday, February 24, 2014.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9:00 am until 9:00 pm on Wednesday and continue at 8:00 am until 1:45 pm on Thursday. A rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Wednesday

Rev. Chanh Nguyen will officiate at the funeral Mass. Scriptures will be read by Fallon Guidry.
Interment will follow at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.

John worked as a manager for A & P and Piggly Wiggly stores for several years and was a supervisor for Lafayette Distributors until his retirement. He enjoyed going to his camp in Butte LaRose with his good friends, Jack and Beulah Doucet, and playing music with Les Amis Band in local nursing homes and also at his camp.

John was a people person who loved telling jokes. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather, who loved cooking and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife, Marion Alleman Savoy; his son, Randy Savoy and wife, Kathy; his daughters, Germaine Thibodeaux and husband, Donald, Stephanie Bijeaux and husband, Todd, and Monica Thibodeaux and husband, Chris; his sister, Bernita Bearb; his grandchildren, Ashley Davis, Hailey Bijeaux, Brandon Guillory, Kristi Guillory, Heather Thibodeaux, Fallon Guidry, and Trevor Savoy; and his great grandchildren, Kinley Williams, Pax Williams, Ryan Howard, Kaydence Howard, Madelynn Guillory, Liliana Guillory, Bella Angelle Allemand, Ahni Livings, and one on-the-way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Essie and Edna Mae Leger Savoy; his sister, Clara Mae Richard; and an infant brother.

Pallbearers will be Randy Savoy, Pat Howard, Todd Bijeaux, Chris Thibodeaux, Marcus Richard, and Brandon Guillory.
