The City Council Monday night voted to play hardball with CLECO, its longtime provider of wholesale electric power.
The campaign for mayor here is remarkable for the amount of public interest it has already generated.
There have been two well-attended public forums for the candidates, sponsored by different civic groups, and the election is still five months off.
Qualifying for the four-year position doesn’t even open until Aug. 20-22.
The following arrests and/or citations were reported in St. Martin Parish from Sunday, June 1, and Monday, June 2.
The St. Martin Parish President has declared an Emergency Declaration for “No Wake” in accordance with St. Martin Parish Code of Ordinances Sec. 14-2.7 and 14-2.10 due to high water. This includes the danger areas in the Stephensville and Belle River areas of Lower St. Martin Parish until further notice.
UPDATE: Breaux Bridge Investigators located Marcus Landry late last night in the Lafayette area and has been returned to his family.
