It appears likely that St. Martin Parish voters will face a couple of property tax proposals when they visit the polls in November.
The Evangeline Fire Department gave the all-clear in the 200 block of W. Hamilton Street shortly after 10 this morning (Tuesday, April 7) when workers sealed a gas line that had just been ruptured by an excavating crew.
There were no injuries.

Lafayette Diocese Bishop Michael Jarrell announced last week that Trinity Catholic School here will “be allowed to close” at the end of the current academic year.
The announcement came in a release issued last Friday after the school failed to attract a sufficient number of registrations for the 2015-16 session.
