St. Martinville girl takes the stage

Charli Claire Durand, 9, fished with her “Paw Pete,” Carl Peter Boggs, and "Mimi" Brenda C. Boggs of St. Martinville, during last weekend's Grand Isle Ladies Rodeo, a benefit for breast cancer awareness, research and treatment. Daughter of Shelly and Blake Durand of St. Martinville, she landed four awards in the Girls Division: 1st and 3rd speckled trout, 1st rat red, and 3rd sheepshead.\ The tournament raised some $25,000 to be shared by various organizations.
