Detective Sgt. Dickie Davitt, who died May 22, is honored by the Breaux Bridge Police Department for his 23 years of service.

Robert Capps, 47, St. Jacinto, Texas; failure to appear, warrant (SMSO).
On Sunday, Sept. 21, at approximately 5 p.m., Breaux Bridge police responded to a complaint of a hit and run at 1932 Rees St., the Walmart parking lot.
The suspect crashed into a parked vehicle on the parking lot of Walmart and left the scene.
The attached pictures are of the suspect and his vehicle.
