Sunday evening, Aug. 9, a deputy with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Patrol Division conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in the 5000 block of Main Hwy in St. Martinville. Following the stop, the patrol deputy came across suspected illegal drugs and notified SMSO narcotics agents.
Early on Friday, Aug. 7, following a thorough investigation, Narcotic Agents along with S.E.R.T. (Sheriff’s Emergency Response Team) Members with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence located in the 500 block of Gov. Mouton St. in St. Martinville.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office Friday arrested a man suspected of stealing property from an elderly person.
Jeremiah Miller, 19, 100 Block of Perkins Street, St. Martinville, was wanted on a warrant for felony theft over $750.

Deputies with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office are seeking the whereabouts of Kerwin F. Morris, 46, last known to be living in the Crowley area, who is wanted for failure to appear in court on a robbery charge.
