TOT paddlers needed to help clean bayou teche

Trash Bash coming up March 22

Dane Thibodeaux of Cajuns for Bayou Teche is asking for help in cleaning up Bayou Teche in advance of the Top of the Teche kayak and canoe race.

A “Trash Bash & Boogie,” sponsored by The TECHE Project, will be held on Saturday, March 22, commencing at the Leonville public launch ramp at 9 a.m.

Volunteers will be treated to free eats, drinks and live music.

Top of the Teche paddlers are especially encouraged to come out and train with a load of trash in your boat.

Anyone who is willing to help, whether they have a boat or not, is welcome. Gloves and trash bags will be furnished.
