BB, Cecilia winless in Acadiana tourney

In a light week of basketball action over the Thanksgiving holiday, Breaux Bridge and Cecilia took part in the Louisiana Safety Systems Thanksgiving Shootout hosted by Acadiana High School.

The St. Martinville Tigers took the week off.

At Acadiana, Breaux Bridge lost to Acadiana (74-46) and Lafayette High (66-60) while Cecilia dropped its contests to Comeaux (91-35) and Acadiana (49-37).

The tournament action left The Bridge with a 3-4 early season record while the Bulldogs are winless in three outings.

Tournament action continues this week with St. Martinville playing in the LaGrange Tournament while Breaux Bridge and Cecilia take part in the Teurlings Catholic Tournament.

Both tourneys run from Thursday through Saturday.

Next Tuesday will see the St. Martinville Tigers (0-3) hosting Opelousas.
