Parish girls exit playoffs exit playoffs

The Lady Tigers of Breaux Bridge and St. Martinville failed to advance past the first round of the state Class 4A softball playoffs last week.

The Bridge dropped its bidistrict matchup with Eunice by a score of 5-1. The District 5-4A runners-up ended their season with a 14-13-1 overall record.

St. Martinville, which landed a wild card berth in the playoffs, fell to Alexandria by 8-2 in their contest, finishing up at 10-14 for the year.
