Basinkeeper blowout is Sunday, Jan. 31

Music and art to help keep the Basin wet & wild!

The second annual Save the Basin fundraiser featuring live music, and an art auction will be held next Sunday, Jan. 31, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Artmosphere Bistro, 902 Johnston St.
A “bottomless mimosa brunch” will be served until 2:30 p.m. There’s a $10 cover charge at the door.
Money raised by the event, which includes proceeds of the auction and a cut of the food and drink service, goes to the Atchafalaya Basinkeeper’s monitoring and enforcement program, which has protected and restored thousands of acres of cypress forests throughout coastal Louisiana.
Live music is provided by Michael Doucet, Yvette Landry with Richard Comeaux, Faren Serrette, Farouche, Randy Vidrine, Blake Miller and Jimmy Breaux, Drew Landry, and Touche Pas!
The art auction features paintings, wildlife photography, beautiful sinker cypress pieces and furniture, pottery, and more.
Guest speakers include author-photographer Greg Guirard and St. Martin Parish President Guy Cormier.
