NO WAKE ZONE BEING LIFTED

Last month, due to high water from excessive rainfall, St. Martin Parish President Guy Cormier declared an emergency declaration for “No Wake” in the Stephensville and Belle River areas of lower St. Martin Parish.
Due to the current water level status, the No Wake Zone is being lifted.
The St. Martin Parish Sheriff's Office and Parish Government are asking that people who will be traveling the waterways to continue to be respectful of those homes and camps along the water and please do not create an unnecessary large wake especially in the Stephensville and Belle River areas.
SMSO will continue to patrol the area.
