Parish seniors graduate Fri.
Commencement exercises for graduates of St. Martin Parish’s three public high schools will be held on Friday, May 12, in each school’s gymnasium.
School officials say 480 students, including special education and those receiving skills option certificates, GED and certificates of achievement, will participate in the graduation ceremonies. The total includes 178 at Breaux Bridge High, 158 at Cecilia High and 144 at St. Martinville Sr. High.
BREAUX BRIDGE
Two students share valedictoryn honors at Breaux Bridge High this year.
The top graduates, both with 4.3125 GPAs, are Camille Regina Guidry, daughter of Ryan and Myra Guidry; and Andre Francis Dupuy, son of Jean-Pierre and Michelle Dupuy.
Salutatorian, with a 4.25 GPA, is Emelie Lynn Gauthier, daughter of Gabriel and Charlotte Gauthier.
Pamela Jordan, director of Federal Programs, will be handing out diplomas.
CECILIA
Four students at Cecilia High School have completed their high school studies with 4.04 GPAs in the honors curriculum and are tied for valedictory honors.
They are Joshua Michael Ashley, son of Donald and Geralyn Ashley; Seth Michael Latiolais, son of Terry Latiolais and Brandy LeBouef; Jonathan Glenn Marks, son of Wayne and Rebecca Marks; and Benjamin Scott Tauzin, son of Chuck and Rachel Tauzin.
Salutatorians, with 4.0 GPAs, are Phiyen Hoang Phan, daughter of Dung Phan and Kim Nguyen; and Noah Paul Pontiff, son of Julien and Deidre Pontiff.
Awarding diplomas will be CHS pricipal Daniel LeBoeuf with the assistance of Dr. Lottie Beebe, superintendent.
ST. MARTINVILLE
Earning valedictory honors at St. Martinville Sr. High with 4.25 GPA’s are Daylon Daye, son of David Daye and Rossaundra Bing; and John Faucheaux, son of Stacy and Carrie Faucheaux.
Sharing salutatorian honors, each with a 4.22 GPA, are Tayonni Jean-Batiste, daughter of Troy and Angela Jean-Batiste; and Arielle Jones, daughter of Taverence Jones and Chantell Boutte.
Principal Michael Kreamer will present diplomas.
