Know a worthy philanthropist?

Community Foundation of Acadiana (CFA) is now accepting nominations from the community for its 2015 Leaders In Philanthropy (LIP) Awards in November.
At its annual awards luncheon, CFA will recognize an individual or couple who have made a philanthropic impact in their communities through substantial charitable contributions or by attracting substantial contributions.
The public is invited to nominate outstanding philanthropists from the parishes of Acadia, St. Landry, Evangeline, St. Martin, Iberia, St. Mary, Lafayette and Vermilion.
CFA is also accepting nominations for corporations that have made an outstanding philanthropic impact, through substantial charitable contributions, in at least one of the eight Acadiana parishes listed above.
Applications should be completed online at www.cfacadiana.
Nominations and will be accepted until close of business on Friday, Jan. 30.
CFA’s Board of Directors Emeriti will review and choose the award recipients for all parishes, except for Iberia and St. Mary. CFA has affiliates in those parishes with local Boards of Directors who will review and choose their parish’s award selections. Recipients will be selected by March and will be presented with awards at the fifth-annual Leaders In Philanthropy Awards Luncheon in November 2015.
