One arrested, two at large in Breaux Bridge tractor theft

St. Martinville – Following an investigation into the theft of a tractor in Breaux Bridge on April 12, 2014, one man was arrested and two others are being sought.

John Wright, 63, of Breaux Bridge was booked into the St. Martin Correctional Center on one count of theft over $1,500.

Investigators are asking for the public’s assistance in locating two additional suspects wanted in connection with the theft of the tractor and several other residential burglaries in the Breaux Bridge area. They are identified by the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office as James Wright, 24, of Youngsville, and Kerry Doucet III, 25, of Duson.

The tractor was later recovered by SMSO investigators with the assistance of the Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office.

James Wright is wanted on one count of possession of stolen property, and Doucet is wanted on one count of theft over $1,500.
