The National Rural Health Association (NRHA) named St. Martin Hospital a Top 20 Critical Access Hospital in Patient Perspective.

Following an investigation into reports of possible theft by fraud on behalf of a female individual, investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office discovered a scheme was similar to the MTV show, “Catfish.”

In its June 15 meeting, the St. Martinville City Council discussed a response to Sunday morning’s fatal shooting. On Tuesday, June 16, investigators with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office arrested two men in connection with a residential burglary in the Parks area that was reported May 24.
Friday afternoon, narcotic agents with the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant at a residence on Arnaud Rd, in Arnaudville.
Agents recovered a large quantity of marijuana, synthetic cannabinoids, methamphetamine, Suboxone, and Alprazolam. Deputies said the drugs have a street value of over $50,000.
