I am so happy to hear that the barricade at Bayou Chene is being erected now and sincerely hope that will again prevent this area from getting all the backwater from the Mississippi River when it gets down here.

Ho! Ho! Ho! We did have snow!

I stand corrected. I wrote several weeks back that there had never been a white Christmas in Acadiana. Eddie Broussard sends a note reminding me that a good part of coastal Louisiana woke up to snow on Christmas Day in 2004, and sends along pictures of his home on Pecan Island to prove it.

I’m back from Florida where I spent several days with friends and family. It was so nice to have so many together. One of the things we did was to tour the Naval Air Museum. That was spectacular.

When Jesus walked the earth He moved in perfect unity with God the Father. He explained His life by saying, “I tell you the truth, the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does” (John 5:19 NLT).
