Rabbits ready

The Louisiana Rabbit Breeders Association says the sale of rabbits as pets spikes during Easter week.

While the standard white is most-often chosen, there are a host of other breeds available at rabbitries and at commercial pet shops.

As with any other pet, potential owners should be sure they are ready for the responsibilities that go with ownership, breeders advise.
