William Reed Chauffe

New Iberia – A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1p.m. on Thursday, September 1, 2016, at Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church for William Reed Chauffe, 59, who passed away on Thursday, August 25, 2016, in New Iberia.
A gathering of family and friends will be at Pellerin Funeral Home in New Iberia on Wednesday, August 31, from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. and continue on Thursday from 9 a.m.M until 12:15 p.m.
A rosary will be prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday.
Rev. Mario Romero will be the Celebrant.
Entombment will folow at the church cemetery.
A loving husband and father, and a devoted family man, William Reed Chauffe was born in St. Martinville on July 15, 1957, to the late Beverly Guidry Chauffe and George Thomas Chauffe Sr. He was a 1975 graduate of Breaux Bridge High School, and attended U.S.L. (now U.L.L.), where he majored in Architecture. He was a longtime member of Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church. He was also involved with Bible Studies written by Jeff Cavins, Scott Hahn and Sarah Christmyer, and attended Bible Conferences in Pennsylvania.
Reed is survived by his loving wife, Mary Vincent Chauffe of New Iberia; two sons, Chad Reed Chauffe of Slidell and Jason Thomas Chauffe of Lafayette; three brothers, George “Tommy” Chauffe Jr. and wife Rena of Lafayette, Timothy “Timmy” Chauffe and wife Susan of Parks, and Eugene “Gene” Chauffe and wife Stacie of Arnaudville; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Chad Chauffe, Jason Chauffe, Gene Chauffe, Todd Chauffe, Tyler Chauffe and Nicholas Chauffe.
Memorial contributions may be made to Community of Jesus Crucified, 103 Railroad Ave., St. Martinville, LA 70582; or to Nativity of Our Lady Catholic Church Building Fund, 130 N. Richelieu Circle, New Iberia, LA 70563.
