William ‘T-Jun’ Theriot Jr.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Thursday, September 4, 2014, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for William “T-Jun” Theriot Jr., 59, who passed away on Monday, September 1, 2014.
Visiting hours were observed from 10:30 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Wednesday, and continued on Thursday at 8 a.m. until 1:30 p.m., at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Wednesday by Sue Patin.
Fr. David Broussard officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Jodi Kuiper. Gift Bearers were Myra Thibodeaux and Yolanda Degetaire. Eucharistic Minister was his sister, Betty T. LeBlanc. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
“T-Jun” was excellent at handicapping horse racing and enjoyed gambling, playing cards, and going dancing. Cooking and baking were just another hobby of his and he was famous for his delicious tarts and pralines. A man of many talents, “T-Jun” was known for his beautiful holiday decorations and was an outstanding cabinet maker as well. He enjoyed doing yard work and loved spending time with his family and friends. He loved sports, especially football and baseball, and was an avid fan and supporter of the New Orleans Saints, L.S.U. Tigers, and the Breaux Bridge Tigers. “T-Jun” seldom missed the opportunity to watch his great nephews play football and baseball at Breaux Bridge High School. He is survived by two
brothers, Nolan Theriot and wife Genevieve, and Harold Theriot and wife Judy, all of Breaux Bridge; five sisters, Betty LeBlanc and husband Nolan, Rosie Courville and husband Russell, all of Breaux Bridge, Joyce LeCompte and companion Eugene Arnaud of Arnaudville, and Patsy Theriot and Cherell Benoit and husband John W. Benoit, all of Breaux Bridge; his sister-in-law, Helen D. Theriot of Breaux Bridge; his godparents, Dalton “Neg” Theriot and Rita T. Malorin, both of Breaux Bridge; his godchildren, Myra L. Thibodeaux, Jack Dale Courville and Ashton Theriot; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, William Theriot Sr. and Edith Borel Theriot; his brother, Ames Theriot; and his little dog, Chico.
Pallbearers were John W. Benoit, Todd Theriot, Harold Theriot, Patrick Thibodeaux, Keith Breaux and Jamie Theriot. Honorary pallbearers will be Nolan Theriot, Nolan LeBlanc, Jack Dale Courville, Clint Theriot, Jake Theriot, Bryan LeCompte, Steve Kuiper, Tim Bishop, Billy Patin, T-Joe Patin, Herman “Kee-Kee” Patin, Dana Paul Fontenot, Richard Patin, Brandon Benoit and Chris Benoit.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
