Wanda Menard
Breaux Bridge – A funeral service was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, September 2, 2017, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Wanda Guidry Menard, 52, who passed away on Tuesday, August 29, 2017, at her residence.
Vvisiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 9:30 a.m. on Friday and continued until 10:30 a.m. on Saturday. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Garrett McIntyre and Deacon Stephen Pellessier officiated at the Funeral Service.
Interment followed at Calvary Cemetery in Lafayette.
Wanda enjoyed going fishing and crabbing, listening to music, and visiting with family and friends. At the drop of a hat, if someone said they were going fishing, they could make room for her because she was going.
She is survived by her loving husband of 23 years, Michael Menard; her son, Rusty Jude Menard of St. Martinville; her brother, Jeffery Guidry and wife Melanie of Parks; and her sisters, Jodie LeBlanc of Jeanerette and Keri Hunter of Lafayette; and her mother-in-law, Rose Mae Menard.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Shirley Gardemal Guidry; her father-in-law, Thomas Menard; and her sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Gloria and Roland Paul Walters.
Pallbearers were Jeff Guidry, Blair Guidry, Robert Menard, Lloyd Menard, Coby Champagne and Julian “Ju Ju” Hunters.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
