Walter LaGrange

Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 11 a.m. on Saturday, May 30, 2015, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Walter LaGrange, 73, who passed away on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, at Opelousas General Hospital.
Visiting hours were observed from 10 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Friday and continued on Saturday at 7 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Arnaudville. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Friday.
Rev. Keenan Brown officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Bonnie Gibson and Sharon Boudreaux. Gift Bearers were Whitney Hardy, Hailey Bijeaux, Linsey LaGrange, Amy LaGrange and Renella Boyer.
Interment followed at St. John Francis Regis Cemetery in Arnaudville.
Mr. LaGrange was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed camping, hunting and fishing. He loved having family gatherings with his kids, grandkids, and his brothers and sisters. He loved his faithful K-9 companion, Rosie.
He is survived by two daughters, Tammy L. (Bentley) Bijeaux of Breaux Bridge and April L. (Kimmie) Hardy of Lafayette; his son, Jody (Tina Meaux) Lagrange of Arnaudville; two brothers, Lenny (Fanny) LaGrange of Scott and John E. (Joanne) LaGrange of Arnaudville; his sister, Agnes L. Credeur of Lake Charles; seven grandchildren, Tyler Bijeaux, Ridge Hardy, Chase Bijeaux, Whitney Hardy, Bailey LaGrange, Hailey Bijeaux and Lindsey LaGrange; and his great-granddaughter, Klaire Bijeaux.
He is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Helen C. LaGrange; his parents, Martin and Vanilla Savoy LaGrange; three brothers, Leland, Lawrence and Harold LaGrange; and his sister, Thelma Speyrer.
Pallbearers were Tyler Bijeaux, Chase Bijeaux, Kimmie Hardy, Malcolm Boudreaux, Ronald Allemond and Bentley Bijeaux.
Honorary pallbearers were Bailey LaGrange, Kenneth Bergeron and Jimmie Boyer.
The family would like to give special thanks to Drs. Nix, Cain, Miller and Liu, CIS Physicians, and LHC Hospice. Also a very special thank you to Fr. Brown and Gabe Robin for their special continued efforts and care for Walter.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville was in charge of arrangements.
