Omer J. Peltier

Lafayette – Funeral Services will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, at 11 a.m. at Kinchen Funeral Home for Omer J.Peltier, 83, who passed away August 26, 2016, at Lady of Lourdes Hospital.
Msgr. Ronald Broussard will officiate the service.
Interment will be at Evangeline Memorial Park in Carencro following the funeral.
Omer leaves behind to cherish his memories his wife of 60 years, Mayola Peltier of Carencro; his sons, Kenneth Peltier of Carencro, and Deltha J. Peltier and his wife Tonia of Breaux Bridge; his daughters, Serena Cockrell and her husband Kieth of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Lisa Livings and her husband Cleveland of Carencro; his grandchildren whom he loved more than life itself, Matthew Augustine of Lafayette, Cleveland Peltier and Kendrick Peltier of Carencro, Asha and Omaree Peltier of Breaux Bridge, Ross Cockrell of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Ciera and Anna Cockrell of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Skye Rochon of Rayne; one great-grand-granddaughter Ja’Niyah Peltier, brothers, Dalton, Huey, Clifford and Cleo Peltier of Kansas City, Missouri, and Glenn Peltier of Houston Texas; sister, Elsaidia Draine of Kansas City, Missouri, and Sadie Senegal of Carencro; and a host of nieces, nephews, sisters- in law, brothers-in-law, friends and neighbors.
Omer was preceded in death by his parents, Dalton and Cecilia Zenon Peltier; his brothers, Rosaire, Dojie and Curley; and his sisters, Ethel Villavaso, Daisy Menard and Piaola Julien.
Visitation will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016, from 7 a.m. to 11 a.m. at Kinchen Funeral home in Lafayette.
Kinchen Funeral Home Inc., 1011 N. Saint Antoine Stt., Lafayette, is in charge of arrangements.
